Size information and tips for perfect fitting
|
|
| |
Please read it carefully (Important):
- There is no standard size. Different store or designer has its own size definition and size chart, they are not exactly the same, like small maker in "Miss Shop" or big maker in "Plus Shop", their definition is almost 2 sizes different. Besides when you purchase the dress from the store, it often happen the size number has been low down to make customer feel better. Like a dress size 18 can be marked as size 14, because the size number is not important, you always try it before you buy it. It's different when you purchase the dress on the internet, we have to relate exactly dress size with its size number. So don't rely on the size you usually have and only choose the size base on a proper measurement. Please note we are not responsible for incorrect sizing choice.
- Dress size you choose is determined by your measurement but also the dress style. Different dress style has different way of fitting, so you may need different sizes for different dresses. Please read "Fitting" section in dress description page, it helps you to determine the dress size for individual dress style. (more explanation below.)
- Dress fitting is not just to do with bust, waist and hips measurement but also your body shape (other measurements). All dresses are pre-made base on average height and body shape. If you are too tall or too short, or odd body shape, please carefully choose the dress style and size. Remember if you need help, you can always email us with your measurement (bust, under bust, waist and hip sizes) and the dress you want, we are happy to give our best suggestion.
For example: If you have a flat chest or broad back, it's worth for you to consider under bust size. please note your bust measurement can be misleading as the size you choose according your bust measurement is too small for your under bust. On the other hand, if your under bust is too small, then some dress style like high waist style dress may fits too big.
a few definitions in dress "fitting" section |
| Form-fitting: |
The measurement stated in size chart is the best size range, please make sure your measurement doesn't excess the limit otherwise may lead to a tight fit. |
| Semi-fitting: |
The measurement stated in size chart is not exactly required, your measurement can be a little more than the size stated, usually it has extra 5cm allowance. |
| Easy-fitting: |
The measurement stated in size chart can almost be ignored, usually it has at least extra 10cm allowance. Basically it's free-fitting unless very odd body shape. |
| *What stated in "Dress fitting" is suggestion only base on our best knowledge. Please understand different people with different body shape may not fits into our generalized definition, therefore we are not responsible for what it caused. |

How to Measure:
When you make the measurement, please make sure your arms should be straight down otherwise will lead to incorrect result. So please ask someone's help if possible. The tape measure should be kept horizontal and not too tight and not too loose.
Bust - Take measurements whilst wearing a suitable bra but without outer garments. Measure under arm around the fullest part of bust. The tape measure should be kept horizontal and your arms should be down. Not too tight and not too loose. If you have a flat chest or broad back, please note your bust measurement can be misleading as the size you choose according your bust measurement is too small for your under bust. In this case, please choose the size base on under bust measurement.
Under-bust - Measure around you rib cage.
Waist - Measure around natural waist line making sure tape fits securely yet comfortably. Your waistline is the thinnest point on your waist, just above your hip bones. Usually it's about 1-2 inches above your belly button (Not the waistline when you wear jeans).
Hip - Measure around the fullest part of the hip, again make sure tape fits comfortably but not too loose.
