Our Refund Policy

In general:

It is important to us that you are happy with your purchase. We try and describe our items for sale as accurately as possible and always include photographs which form part of the description of the items.

If you are unsure of any detail in relation to an item, please contact us. We are more than happy to supply you with further information and additional photographs so that you can be sure that you will be happy with your purchase.

So, please carefully read the listing and view the attached photographs and ask us questions before bidding on an item or before purchasing a “Buy It Now” item.

If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receiving the item, outlining why the item is not suitable/ what the problem is.

We will always work with you to resolve any issues.

In relation to “Buy it now” items purchased:


When am I entitled to a refund or exchange?

As a consumer, you are legally entitled to a refund if the item:

  • had a fault you did not know when you bought it

  • was not the same as we described

  • doesn’t match the item shown in the photographs

  • doesn’t last a reasonable amount of time, given the price you paid.

When am I not entitled to a refund, repair or exchange?

You are not entitled to a refund from us if you:

  • realise you can't afford the item

  • change your mind about the item, such as choosing the wrong size or finding the item cheaper elsewhere

  • have damaged the item you bought

  • knew (or should have known) about a fault when you bought the item.

However, we may offer refunds in some of these circumstances as a sign of goodwill, though the law does not require us to do so – please contact us within 3 days of receiving the item to discuss a satisfactory outcome.


In relation to items purchased at auction:

Statutory warranty rights do not cover goods bought at auction. Goods sold by auction are sold 'as is'. It is the purchaser's responsibility to check that the goods are of an acceptable standard. As noted above, we make every effort to accurately describe items auctioned. Please make sure that you read these descriptions carefully and ask us any questions prior to bidding.

Refund of postage on returned items:

We may or may not refund postage or part thereof on items returned. It will depend upon the reason for the return of items and the circumstances in which the item was purchased.


Buying privately:

Please note that when you buy goods from a private person , rather than through a commercial store, there is no statutory cooling-off period or statutory warranty. This includes any goods you buy from a private person selling online i.e. us – Amaya 8888.

Notwithstanding this, it is important for us to have happy customers and as such, we will apply the principles outlined above to purchases.
