A small packing / handling charge may be requested at times, for certain items.
Most items are posted the same day the payment arrives.
Sometimes I post twice a day if neccessary, to achieve same day postage.
Urgent postage... if you require it yesterday... please discuss this before you bid.
I am happy to arrange a fast payment method and Express postage if required.
If you require a firm postage quote... please provide a list of the items, and, your postcode.
Please be aware... your items will be dispatched from Perth WA. Please allow up to 10 business days for parcels. Most times, of course, it is much less!
Cost effective Postage / Shipping
Primarily, for the size and type of my items, Pre - Paid Satchels and Envelopes are the most cost effective and convenient shipping method for both Domestic and International destinations.
Pre -Paid posting also affords the ability to quote a flat rate shipping cost within Australia, regardless of weight and destination. ( within the limits of the satchel / envelope )
Wherever possible, items will be posted as a "letter". This is the cheapest possible method. Sometimes this will require your items to be sent in more than one envelope, still at a cheaper rate than one parcel !
With the aid of very accurate Digital scales, and the Aust. Post website, I am able to determine the safest and most cost effective method to send your items.
Registered post is always available to you at the current Aust. Post rate.
Some high value items, wilI only be sent by Registered post. Within the terms of the Auction, Registered post will be the only shipping option. If you read the shipping terms before you bid, this will be apparent to the Bidder.
Remember, Registered post is for both the Buyer's and the Seller's protection!
Express Post. This is available to you as an option if required. Please ask for a quote before you bid.
Combined post. YES, YES, YES ! No problem. I would rather pack and post one large package, than several smaller ones. If it saves you money, and me time... I consider it a "win win" situation. You are welcome to spread your purchases over a couple of weeks if neccessary. All I ask, is that you inform me of your intentions. ( so I don't hound you for payment, when in fact you are still buying ! ).
Packaging and Handling
In the interests of the environment and, to help keep your packaging costs to an absolute minimum. I may use "recycled" packaging.
These may be in the form of clean, used bubble wrap, plastic bags, cardboard, cereal boxes etc.
Please consider your savings, and the environmental benefits.
Most times, the shipping cost you pay, will be only the Aust. Post cost. Sometimes, however, they get it wrong, or I get it wrong. If the difference is more than a couple of Dollars, I usually send it back in stamps with the item, inside the package. On rare occasions, this is not possible, as by the time the PO. has determined the rate they wish to charge. It is too late to open the package to insert the refund.
