Shipping and Packaging Information

Packaging Information

Rest assured we will do our best to carefully pack and ship your item to you.  Below are just some of the measures we take when getting your item ready to ship. 

• Small books and publications are bagged, and shipped in bubble wrap envelopes.  Larger books are bubble wrapped, bagged and mailed in either B-flute or boxes.

• Small appliances and appliance parts are double boxed for shipping.  If they don’t include the manufacturer’s packing materials (Styrofoam, etc.) they will be bubble wrapped and stuffed with Styrofoam peanuts for protection during shipping.

• Postcards, individual nonsport, gaming and sport cards are sleeved in archival plastic soft sleeves, and mailed in rigid cardboard photo mailers.  Or sleeved and placed in top-loaders (hard plastic card holders), and mailed in bubble wrap envelopes.  Card sets are placed in plastic set containers and then boxed for shipping.

• Jewelry is placed in cardboard cotton lined jewelry boxes, bagged, and placed in bubble wrap envelopes for mailing.

• Single soft toys (beanies) are bagged and mailed in either tyvek or bubble wrap envelopes.   Multiples are bagged and mailed in boxes.

Shipping Information

Domestic

• We quote exact domestic shipping and packaging material charges in our listings.  These charges include delivery confirmation with the exception of listings for collectable cards, eg. postcards, nonsports, gaming and sports cards.

• For domestic destinations, USPS is our shipper for small and medium packages and UPS for heavier larger things. 

• We offer reduced shipping when more than one item is being sent to a single address.

• We normally ship within 24 hours of payment.  In the case of echecks, merchandise will be held until Paypal clears the payment.  Payments made by mailed personal checks will also result in merchandise being held until the check clears our bank.

International

• Rates have increased substantially for all international destinations, especially for packages weighing more than a pound.  If you are an international customer, we request that you ask for a shipping quote prior to bidding or purchasing an item from us.

• All international packages will be shipped using USPS.  The quoted international shipping cost will include the actual postage and packaging supplies used to package your item.  In addition, we insure most items through a private insurer – DSIinsurance.com.  Because this insurance fee is not paid to USPS it will not be reflected in the amount of postage shown on the label, but will be included in the quote.  

• As with our domestic customers we offer reduced shipping when more than one item is being sent to a single address, and normally ship within 24 hours of payment.

• We complete customs forms honestly, marking the item as ‘other’, detailing the contents and listing the high bid as the value.  Please do not ask us to mark the item as a gift or reduce the value.

• International customers are responsible for any additional taxes, duties or other fees that may be a result of international shipping.  Please contact your Customs Department for further information.
