My passion for jewellery began when I was very, very young, when my mother used to let me play with the jewellery in her jewellery box every Saturday afternoon as a reward for having finished all my chores. I used to sit on the bed with the jewellery in front of me, marvelling at all the pretty and shiny things in that jewellery box, and using my very overactive imagination, I often pictured myself surrounded by 50 times more jewellery than was actually there.
The image of being surrounded by jewellery obviously must have stayed in my mind, because from the moment I got my first part time job, I began spending my hard earned cash on whatever jewellery I could afford. My tastes focussed primarily on silver, initially because I couldn't afford gold, but eventually I found I actually preferred the look of silver. By the time I was in my mid 20's, I'd amassed so much silver and semi-precious jewellery, I didn't know what to do with it ... but let's face it ... you can never have too much ... right ?!?! :-)
My eBay shop began through a combination of events a few years ago. I had had a desire for some years to start a business of my own, preferrably home-based, so I decided one day to start scouring the internet for home business opportunities. Around the same time, I had coffee with a girlfriend who had spent many years working in jewellery shops. While I sipped on my coffee, she told me how much the average jewellery store owner marks up their products ... at which point I choked on my coffee and nearly slid off my chair and under the table.
This encouraged me to narrow my focus on searching for home based jewellery business opportunities. After many hours, weeks and months of intensive research, my dream was born. An online jewellery shop providing quality products directly from the manufacture, but best of all, products that are priced to be affordable to the "average" person.
