We all know that somewhere in the fabric of the cosmos there is a formless force that is perpetually at work creating moments of beautiful serendipity for us to experience. Generally, the best of these involves a combination of alcohol and music, as they did in the Speakeasies of old.
It's prohibition era in the US and the concept is quite simple. Alcohol might be illegal, but people still need a place to drink, dammit! So the speakeasy is born. A humble homemade bar where illegal booze was served illegally. But of course, no drinking establishment stays quiet for too long. Because bars need music. So music's biggest names of the 30s and 40s became stars underground.
Speakeasy Records gives you the opportunity to tap into the energy of this magnificent bygone era for a shot at true enlightenment on the level of Buddha himself.
According to all the stories, this is how the greats all did it. Perhaps in a less planned manner, but that’s of little consequence.
