The Diabetic associations around the world are still adamant that to Stay Healthy and Happy we need to in relation to food
1. eat a good 60% carbohydrate with up to 30% protein
leaving a mere 10% to be fat.
2. exercise daily
It is obvious that carbohydrates have gained popularity over the last 60 years. A major part of processed food is nearly all carbohydrate. Bread is normally 80% carbohydrate.
But are carbohydrates good for us ?!
In the short term carbohydrates tend to fill up the tummy and we do experience a great full feeling which may give our body a headache for a short while but we have satisfied a hungry body. Those who eat by the above formulae are hungry all the time – the full feeling after eating does not last very long at all – most could easily have the same in a couple of hours time if not sooner. I had nearly destroyed my body on a low fat complex carbohydrate Diet .
Perhaps Diabetics might turn away from such a recommendation for good health if the wording is changed to eat 60% sugar with 30% protein and 10% fat.
An intelligent person might state in surprise – Are you Kidding ?! You are telling me to eat sugar when I have too much in my body already and which my body finds difficult to use. Why give my body an extra headache with more sugar.
Yes Carbohydrates are sugars – Sugar in excess is a problem to a diabetic. The problem for a human being is that we need sugar and yet too much causes continual demand for insulin and when the insulin does not appear to do the job then we may have more insulin in the body than a normal person creating havoc and destroying the diabetic body.
The body does provide the solution for sugar requirement – the body can easily produce Ketones from stored fat that replace sugar when there is no sugar taken in as food.
There is a solution which will enable you to
1. never have hunger pains - the body will become happy since it does not cry out for more food,
2. be always relaxed and calm for the tummy never rumbles even when you go to bed after not having had food for most of the day.
3. free your body to work on fixing problems instead of storing excess sugars or devoting most of the day to digesting big meals.
4. be satisfied with a small but high in nutrition meal.
5. exercise to tone muscles and not solely to reduce excess sugar in the body.
