"Effective 22 November 2010, all parcels greater than 453 grams (16 ounces)**(NOTE; THIS HAS NOW BEEN ADJUSTED TO 500grams) bound for the United States (and associated territories and open transit countries) will be subject to tighter aviation security measures introduced by the US government. A $9.00 surcharge will be applied to all parcels destined for these countries.
.....The increased border protection and aviation security measures have a direct impact on Australia Post's processes. The new measures have increasedd the costs associated with screening and transport, and as a result a surcharge on all international parcels bound for the United States has been applied.
NOTE; DURING THE PERIOD MAY 31ST to JUNE 2ND we will be unable to post any parcels and will have limited options in regard to responding to questions/emails etc. We will be back on deck Sunday JUNE 3rd and will post all outstanding parcels on Monday the 4th. Apologies for any incovenience.
