What condition are the products that are available to purchase?
All products are either ex-demonstration, box damaged or manufacturer refurbished. We are unable to advise what situation a particular product falls into furthermore, in the case of refurbished units, what any of the original issues (if any) were or provide photographs of the actual units or private viewings of actual units.
All products available to purchase have been thoroughly tested by a Sony Authorised repair agent before being made available to purchase. We also back our products with our standard 12 month warranty.
We ship our products with the major accessories that are critical for operation and in an “as-is” state. If there are some minor accessories missing, you can purchase these from Speedy Spares Pty Ltd.
Examples of minor accessories that may be missing include but not limited to: batteries, FM antennas, product manuals, secondary remote controls (primary remote control will be supplied), generic speaker cable and speaker wire.
Can I view or get information on a particular item before purchasing?
Due to the nature of the inventory on our store, we cannot provide information regarding any particular item and each item is sold in an “as-is” condition.
Some products may have slight cosmetic variations however are deemed as fully functional and this is reflected in the price. We cannot accept refunds for items unless they have been assessed as being faulty. Unfortunately, you cannot view a product before purchasing.
Will the latest firmware be updated?
As Sony is constantly releasing new firmware, we recommend upon receiving your unit that you check the version currently loaded and update to the most current version available.
Is a particular product or model available that is not listed currently or will it be available in the future?
Only what is featured on this site is available to purchase. We cannot advise on future product or model availability. If what you are looking for is not here, we recommend you go to www.sony.com.au and purchase through our online store.
What forms of payment can I use?
We currently accept payments via PayPal only. We currently do not accept credit card payments for orders via our eBay store.
Can I change my order?
Sony works hard to ship orders as quickly as possible. As a result, once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled or changed in any way. This includes changes to the payment method, shipping information or items in the order. In the unlikely event that Sony is unable to fulfill your order, you will receive an email notice and your original form of payment will be refunded as soon as possible.
What warranty is provided on purchases?
All items available to purchase on the Official Sony eBay Store are covered by a full 12 month Sony manufacturer warranty from Sony. Sony provides tax invoices on all purchases via an email with a PDF. Your invoice will be sent to the email address of your eBay account.
What boxes will my product arrive in?
Due to the size of some of our products, from time to time, we may substitute or recycle boxes to enable transporting of goods. Some products are also sold in a “box damaged” state with the products checked and fit for sale.
The goods within the boxes should reflect your purchase. Note: some boxes may also have serial numbers on them. The correct serial numbers are on the products and start with “S-01”.
I’ve changed my mind, can I return my order?
Items purchased on the Sony eBay Store are only able to be returned if deemed faulty. We do not allow for change of mind. If you have received damaged, defective or incorrectly shipped merchandise, please notify Customer Service within 30 days on 1300 13 SONY (7669) or via the eBay message centre to arrange a return.
What does it cost for delivery?
Free within Australia.
Where can I get my order delivered to?
Sony Australia eBay Store uses Toll to ship its items. Please note, we cannot deliver to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers or international destinations.
Shipping is only available to customers within NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, ACT, TAS, WA, NT, Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, and The Cocos Island for Australian orders.
Pick up and collection of orders are not available.
Regular deliveries to NSW, QLD and VIC metro areas should be received within 3-10 business days of placing an order. Please note, deliveries may take a bit longer than expected due to the size of our products and please allow further 3-10 business days during sale periods.
For SA, WA, NT, TAS metro and other rural areas, orders should be received within 5-15 business days of placing an order. Certain factors such as size, shipping address or volume of deliveries may delay shipments.
Sony will attempt to contact customers within reasonable time periods if there is a significant delay to an order. Orders will be shipped when all items are in stock. If you have not received your delivery please contact us or via the eBay message centre with your order information.
Delivery delays may be experienced during sale periods due to high demand. Orders are despatched from Sydney, NSW.
How do I track or check the status of my order?
Tracking details and invoice details will be supplied to the email entered in the order delivery details field and the tracking number will be available within your eBay account.
Sony currently uses Toll for delivery of eBay orders. To track your order, simply enter your track and trace info into the Toll website.
Why is there no auction available?
All products are currently available to purchase at buy it now prices. Prices are non-negotiable and fixed price only.
What if I have missing accessories?
We ship our products with the major accessories that are critical for operation. If there are some minor accessories missing, you can purchase these from Speedy Spares Pty Ltd.

How do I contact Sony about my purchase?
Please note that messages sent with your order and not through the eBay Message Centre will not be received. If you need to include special information with your order, please send a communication through our contact forms on sony.com.au for a customer service representative to assist you.
I wish to purchase more than one unit. Can I do this?
The number of units available to be purchased are displayed on the eBay store. Should you wish to purchase more, please make sure to bookmark our store and check back later as inventory levels change frequently. Alternatively, you can also sign up to our newsletter to be informed for store updates.
