30 Day Return Policy

Ordered the wrong product? Changed your mind? The Boss in Tools has got you covered. Customer service is top priority for us.
Change of mind returns are only accepted if the product is returned unopened, sealed with all original packaging and in pristine condition within 30 days. Returns items that have been misused, opened or damaged due to neglect do not qualify for a refund.

You must notify us within 30 days of receiving the item that you intend to return it. The Boss in Tools has the right to assess the condition of retuned goods prior to offering a refund. The customer is responsible for all postage costs on returns. Returns will not be accepted after 30 days from date of purchase.

All items are inspected, during manufacture and prior to packaging. Should any issues arise, we are here to help! In line with the Australian Consumer Law, we will try to resolve any issue to the agreement of both parties.

The terms and conditions, together with the eBay user agreement constitute a contract between the buyer and The Boss in Tools Pty Ltd for the supply of goods.

Buyers are assumed to agree with full terms and conditions when buying or bidding on auction or 'Buy It Now' items from The Boss in Tools products. While all care is given, any errors or omissions in the product listing are unintentional.

Warranty Against Defect

The Boss in Tools guarantees this product for a full replacement or refund for 1 year on all products used for private home use from the date of purchase. All petrol products come with a 1 year warranty for private home use.

This warranty covers material and workmanship defects only.

In order for the warranty to be acted on, the consumer must use the products strictly in accordance with their operating manual and for the purpose for which they are intended to be used. This warranty does not apply to defects arising from abuse, alteration, unauthorised or unreasonable use, nor does it cover general deterioration due to usage.

The Boss in Tools will replace the product or provide a refund to the value of the purchase price if a defect is found in the product during the warranty period of 12 months for home use, subject to verification of the defect and the date, proof of purchase and purchase price. In order for the warranty to be claimed, the defective goods must be returned to The Boss in Tools promptly from the point in time that the consumer becomes aware of the defect in the goods and in any case within 7 business day.

The following steps need to be followed:

Send an email to stating your order number, the item/s you wish to return, and the reason for the return.

Our Customer Service Department will review your email and, if applicable, issue you a return warranty form which must be included with your returned item.

All other relevant information will be sent to you at this time. The Boss in Tools will not accept the return of any item/s without a return warranty form attached. The consumer is responsible to ensure the product is packaged securely to prevent any damage during the return process. The buyer is responsible for returning the item at their expense.

The procedure for the consumer to claim the warranty is that the product must be returned to The Boss in Tools within 7 business days of the consumer becoming aware of the defect in the product and subject to The Boss in Tools being satisfied that it is a genuine claim within the time limits prescribed above.

The Boss in Tools will review and determination as to whether a full refund is to be provided in relation to the product or whether the product is to be repaired and retuned. The Boss in Tools reserves the right to reject the warranty claim if it can be proved that the goods have not been used in accordance with their intended purpose or in accordance with the manual. The benefits of this warranty are additional to any other rights and remedies you may have under law.

Once we have received the product and you have complied with the warranty requirements, our costs associated with the warranty claim will be borne by us.

No responsibility will be taken for products lost, damaged or mislaid whilst in transit.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for loss or damage of every kind related to the product in any way whatsoever is limited to the amount paid to the retailer by you for the product or the value of the product. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensations for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These terms and conditions supersede and exclude all former and other representations and arrangements relating to any warranty on this product. This includes any representations not made by us relating to the performance of the product or the result that should to be expected from using the product.

Fine Print

The Boss in Tools warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:

The Boss in Tools warranty products sold by The Boss in Tools against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period as specified in The Boss in Tools product description from the date of purchase ("Guarantee Period"). If a material defect arises and a valid claim is received within the warranty Period, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, The Boss in Tools will either repair the hardware defect at no charge, using new or refurbished parts equivalent to new in performance and reliability, exchange the product with a product that is in a similar condition, performance and reliability and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or refund the purchase price of the product. Where the product was sold as part of a package deal or kit. The Boss in Tools will fulfil its warranty obligation by repair, exchange or refund of the defective item only. If the defective item was sold as part of a kit or package deal, The Boss in Tools shall in its sole discretion, but acting reasonably, determine the refund amount of the item. The Boss in Tools may request that you replace defective parts with new or refurbished user-installable parts that The Boss in Tools provides in fulfilment of its warranty obligation. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by The Boss in Tools, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement of repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes The Boss in Tools property. Parts provided by The Boss in Tools in fulfilment of its warranty obligation must be used in products for which warranty service is claimed. When a refund is given, the product for which the refund is provided must be returned to The Boss in Tools and becomes The Boss in Tools property.

Exclusions and Limitations:

This Limited warranty applies only to products sold directly by The Boss in Tools to the end user. It specifically excludes any bonus or gift items. The Boss in Tools does not warrant the operation of the product will be uninterrupted of error-free. The Boss in Tools is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the product's use. Unless stated otherwise, this warranty does not apply: to consumable parts, such as batteries, unless damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches and dents; to damage caused by use with product not supplied by The Boss in Tools; to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake or other external causes; to damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by The Boss in Tools or manufacturer; to damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of The Boss in Tools; to a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of The Boss in Tools; or if any serial or other number has been removed or defaced; or to damage caused by the product being misused; or to any issues relating to fair wear and tear. To the extent permitted by law, this warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranty, remedies and conditions, whether oral or written, statutory, express or implied. As permitted by applicable law, The Boss in Tools specifically disclaims any and all statutory or implied warranty, including, without limitation, warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and warranty against hidden or latent defects. If The Boss in Tools cannot lawfully disclaim statutory or implied warranty then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranty shall be limited in duration to the duration of this express warranty and to repair or replacement service as determined by The Boss in Tools in its sole discretion. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining term shall not be affected or impaired. Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted by law, The Boss in Tools is not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including but not limited to loss of use; loss of revenue; loss of actual or anticipated profits (including loss of profits on contracts); loss of the use of money; loss of anticipated saving; loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage caused including the replacement of equipment and property.
