Techniice strongly recommends customers to pay attention to an important feature when you are looking for an Ice box.
   

It is very important that you purchase an ice box which has a Food Grade Inner liner, the same reason why you would store food only in a Food Grade container.The Easiest way to identify an ice box with a Food Grade liner is you will notice that the inside of the box has a different colour and different type of plastic compared to the outer shell.

Ice boxes with food grade liners are generally more labour intensive and expensive to manufacture and as a consumer you have the choice , So go for the one that you think is safe for your kids . When  all major online supermarkets , restaurants, food delivery service and even stores at your local markets put a lot of time and effort to take extreme precaution to store and deliver products using these food grade ice boxes , It makes sense that you continue that chain until your food is all consumed.

Techniice Boxes have a full range of genuine 2 piece mould models as shown above (Right) . These boxes are more expensive than the one piece moulds and quite labour intensive to fit and weld separate food grade liners but are a choice of virtually all commercial customers and most informed consumers. If you are buying iceboxes online and the company do not advertise any images of the inside of the icebox please request for more images before you decide on the product . 

Lid Rope RestraintsSome companies come up with all sorts of reasons why their lids don’t require the extra hinge support that ropes provide. Fact is it actually costs more to manufacture boxes with rope supports as they have to be fitted by hand and plastic welded, therefore many companies cut costs by not fitting them. Despite using the best hinges in the industry The Techniice Company still fit ropes to their lids for extra hinge support. Imagine a 100Ltr box for example that is full of ice which means it would weigh around 100kilos and then somebody grabbing the box by the open lid to move it back a few centimeters at a party or tip it over to empty some water out quickly. The leverage factor of the lid will simply tear the hinges off or break them. So the Rope Restraints are highly recommended .

There is only one hinge design that truly doesn’t need ropes in fact it is the bottom section of hinge is actually part of the box body and the top half of the hinge is a part of the lid and it is huge and because it is not attached to the body, but infact part of the mould it is as strong as any part of the entire box to see this remarkable hinge see the Celebration Series Icebox on the Techniice Website, it is the only model designed this way from scratch and definitely worth a look.
